Robust adaptive beamforming for MIMO monopulse radar
Researchers have recently proposed a widely separated multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar using monopulse angle estimation techniques for target tracking. The widely separated antennas provide improved tracking performance by mitigating complex target radar cross-section fades and angle scintillation. An adaptive array is necessary in this paradigm because the direct path from any trans...
متن کاملFront-End Processing for Monopulse Doppler Radar
FEPMR is standing for Front-End and Doppler Processing for Monopulse Doppler Radar. It is a PCB at the frontier between the RF and the Digital Circuits for the radar AXIR. There are four channels, corresponding to the four squinted beams of the antenna ( Right, Left, Up and Down ). Each beam channel is processed in phase (I) and quadrature ( Q) real baseband signals. The eight video analog sign...
متن کاملMCMC Methods for Tracking Two Closely Spaced Targets Using Monopulse Radar Channel Signals
This paper discusses four techniques to successfully track two closely-spaced and unresolved targets using monopulse radar measurements, the quality of such tracking being a determinant of successful detection of target spawn. It explores statistical estimation techniques based on the maximum likelihood criterion and Gibbs sampling, and addresses concerns about the accuracy of the measurements ...
متن کاملRandom Noise Monopulse Radar System for Covert Tracking of Targets
The University of Nebraska is currently developing a unique monopulse radar concept based on the use of random noise signal for covert tracking applications. This project is funded by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The advantage of this system over conventional frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) or short pulse systems is its covertness resulting from the random waveforms immunity fr...
